Rodrigo Duterte, who has won the race for the presidency of the Philippines, has already threatened that he might dissolve Congress if things don’t go his way. His political opponents said the choice in this election was between democracy and dictatorship. 

Mariano Santos, the publisher of Pinoy News Magazine, a monthly magazine dedicated to the Filipino community in the Chicago region, knows what it means to live under a dictator. He left the Philippines to escape the Marcos dictatorship. He joins us to discuss the election results.
