Why Brexit Has Greenland Considering Returning To EU

Decades before Brexit, there was Greenland's exit from the European Union's antecedent, the European Economic Community (EC).

Now, the United Kingdom's break with the EU has rekindled a few debates in Greenland, which is an autonomous country within the Danish Kingdom. Some are reconsidering not just re-joining the EU, but also complete independence from Denmark.

We get a little history on the obscure mining and fishing country and its connections to Brexit with Birger Poppel, a social scientist and emeritus project manager of Mixed Market & Herding Based Economies at Ilisimatusarfik University in Greenland’s capital city, Nuuk.
