Decades before Brexit, there was Greenland’s exit from the European Union’s antecedent, the European Economic Community (EC).

Now, the United Kingdom’s break with the EU has rekindled a few debates in Greenland, which is an autonomous country within the Danish Kingdom. Some are reconsidering not just re-joining the EU, but also complete independence from Denmark.
