Environmental NGO Global Witness declares Honduras as the world’s most dangerous country for environmental activists. Honduran activist Berta Cáceres was murdered in March of last year. Now, two women have come together to let their art speak for Berta and the women heroes of the Honduran resistance movement.

Melissa Cardoza is author of the book 13 Colors of the Honduran Resistance. Karla Lara is a singer/songwriter, social justice and feminist activist with the National Network of Women Human Rights Defenders in Honduras. Lara and Cardoza join us alongside Matt Ginsberg-Jaeckle, a community organizer and member of La Voz de Los de Abajo, based in Chicago. He worked with Cáceres, for nearly two decades.
