World History Minute: The October Revolution (Nov. 17, 1917)
On Nov. 7, 1917 Bolshevik revolutionaries seized various strategic targets, including the seat of the Provisional Government in the Winter Palace in Petrograd (now St. Petersburg), Russia. These revolutionaries would become the Communist Party that ruled the Soviet Union until 1991. Historian John Schmidt fills us in.
