Earlier this week all 153 passengers on board a flight operated by Nigeria-based Dana Airlines were killed when the plane crashed in Lagos. According to a 2010 study published in Transportation Science, passengers in developing world are 13 times more likely to die in a plane crash as passengers in the developed world. Africa has nearly 20 times more plane crashes as North America. Bill Voss, president and CEO of the Flight Safety Foundation, joins Worldview to shed some light on the problem.
