Worldview: April 8, 2016
The Tea Project, running in Chicago through mid-April, combines audience participation and performances to tell the stories of Guantanamo Bay prisoners. We’ll talk about the project with co-curator Amber Ginsburg, Larry Siems, editor of Guantanamo Diary and Aliya Hussain, advocacy director at Center for Constitutional Rights. Film contributor Milos Stehlik looks at racism and sexism in the entertainment industry with media critic Claudette Roper. Plus, artist Jackie Kazarian tells us about “Armenia Under the Picasso,” an exhibit and music festival which honors victims of the Armenian genocide.
