- Honduran indigenous environmental activist Berta Cáceres was shot to death in her home, last week. Her murder came less than a week after her life was threatened for her opposition to a hydroelectric dam project. We talk with Matt Ginsberg-Jaeckle, who worked with Cáceres on human rights and environmental issues for nearly two decades, about her impact in Honduras.
- A new study finds that climate change could eventually kill as many as a half-million people as a result of food shortages and reduced agricultural productivity.
