Writer-Director Steven Conrad Talks About His Amazon Series, 'Patriot'

Steven Conrad is a Chicago-based writer and director, best known for his scripts for movies like The WeathermanWonder and The Pursuit of Happiness. But Conrad’s also created an Amazon TV series called Patriot, which the Los Angeles Times has called “the best TV show you didn’t know existed.” WBEZ’s Monica Eng recently sat down to talk to Conrad about how he came up with the show, which is about a folk-singing CIA agent who travels between Milwaukee, Luxembourg and Paris in hopes of influencing the Iranian elections.
