Youth unemployment is on the rise worldwide. 

The International Labor Organization projected that the global number of unemployed youth rose by half a million in 2016, reaching 71 million. This marks the first increase in three years. 

There are many theories about the cause of the rise, from lack of vocational training to high poverty rates.
