Jennifer Bell

Jennifer Bell is the Chief Development Officer at Chicago Public Media. In her role, she is responsible for leading a comprehensive Development program which includes individual giving, foundation/corporate grants, planned giving and an annual fundraising dinner. In this role, she works closely with the CEO and the organization’s Board of Directors and volunteer leaders.

Prior to joining WBEZ, Jennifer was Vice President of Advancement at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, where she played a key role in their successful $300M capital campaign. Jennifer began her career in development as Director of Corporate Philanthropy and Sponsorship at the Adler Planetarium. Prior to joining the not-for-profit sector, Jennifer was the Midwest Director for Marvel Enterprises where she was responsible for managing business with licencing partners and retailers throughout the Midwest.

Jennifer has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She lives in Chicago with her husband, a cartoonist and author, and their two sons.
