Andjela Padejski is an artist, designer, and developer with a passion for crafting captivating digital editorial experiences. Her background includes an MFA in Film, Video, New Media, and Animation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Media Studies and Computer Science from Wellesley College. Prior to joining WBEZ, Andjela worked at CalMatters, interned at Reveal and is committed to the work of non-profit journalism. As an immigrant, originally from Belgrade, Serbia, and a queer woman, Padejski draws on her unique perspective to create visual treatments that reflect the diversity and complexity of our communities. The desire to make people feel seen, represented, and understood is the primary driver behind her work and she loves using digital technology to accomplish this goal. In her spare time, you can find Andjela roller-blading on the lakefront with her dog, undertaking elaborate home-improvement projects, or exploring some of Chicago’s many galleries.
