Nathalie Kohen

Director, Community Engagement and Live Events

Work ​​Nathalie Kohen joined WBEZ in 2022 and currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement and Live Events. In this role, she is responsible for designing and executing a public engagement strategy that builds relationships with young and diverse audiences.

Nathalie has over thirteen years of experience working in live events and public programming. Most recently, she served as the Director of Programming at the Chicago Humanities Festival. Prior to her move to the Midwest, Nathalie spent more than a decade working in New York City, where she led talent relations and developed content for SoulCycle Media, Marvel Entertainment and Above Average (a division of Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video). Nathalie cut her teeth as a programmer at the 92nd Street Y, producing onstage conversations, screenings, and performances at the storied Upper East Side cultural center for over four years

Nathalie holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. In her spare time, she is either swimming at the lake or dreaming of summer.
