Director, Development

Nina is a frontline fundraiser responsible for leading WBEZ’s donor engagement and stewardship strategy. In this role, she works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to help grow the major gifts program and lead a successful three-year fundraising campaign. 

Nina has worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. Prior to joining WBEZ, she spent five years at the Art Institute of Chicago, most recently serving as Director of Sustaining Fellows & Major Gifts Advisor. In this role, Nina led a team that was responsible for all operations of the Sustaining Fellows program, and also maintained a major gifts portfolio, raising over $6M+ annually. Prior to her tenure at the museum, Nina worked at UCAN (a social service agency serving 13,500 at-risk children and families), Lincoln Park Zoo, and in sales. 

Nina attended Purdue University, where she earned a BA in Communications, Public relations and rhetorical advocacy. She lives in Chicago with her husband and their two, four-legged roommates.
