Nina Yung is the Director, Development, responsible for leading WBEZ’s donor engagement and stewardship strategy for the organization’s most generous supporters. In this role, she works closely with the Vice President, Development and WBEZ’s Board of Directors to help grow the major gifts program and lead a successful three-year fundraising campaign.
Prior to joining WBEZ, Nina spent 5 years at the Art Institute of Chicago where she most recently served as Director of Sustaining Fellows & Major Gifts Advisor. In this role, Nina was responsible for raising $7M+ annually through the Sustaining Fellows program, as well as a major gifts portfolio –raising funds for exhibition and endowment support. Prior to her tenure at the museum, Nina was a Development Manager at UCAN (a social service agency serving 13,500 at-risk children annually) and also worked in Development at Lincoln Park Zoo.
Nina attended Purdue University, where she earned a BA in Communications, Public relations and rhetorical advocacy, and a minor in Art and Design. She lives in Chicago with her husband and their two four-legged roommates.
