The auto yard in the South Deering neighborhood has caught my eye for years.

Hunks of old Detroit steel—like that 1956 Pontiac Safari wagon in the lead photo—sit there season after season, awaiting a fate uncertain…or an auto part undetermined. A purgatory for cars? Maybe. At 95th and Merrion.

I went to check on the place a few days ago and found it surrounded by tall wooden fencing that blocked views inside the yard.‚  Luckily, I took these shots before the fence was put up. The view is pretty much the same.
