New Podcast Tackles Refugee Crisis

This week has been full of refugee news. On Monday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions rolled back U.S. grounds for considering asylum. Over the weekend, a ship bearing African migrants was stranded between Malta and Italy with nowhere to moor. These kinds of issues have permeated political life in the West, so much as to have provided support to populist upsurges in France, Italy, and the U.S. A new podcast from the International Rescue Committee and Vox Media called Displaced tries to dig through those political issues. We’re joined by the hosts of the podcast, Ravi Gurumurthy, Chief Innovation Officer at the International Rescue Committee and founder of its Airbel innovation center, and Grant Gordon, Director of Innovation Strategy at the Airbel Center at the International Rescue Committee.
