- Here are some Afternoon Shift segments you may have missed — Kevin Smith and Stephen Merchant, who created The Office.

- Corn Productions’ 20th anniversary brings three shows: The Champions of Improv GladiatorsFloss!, Tiff and Mom Get Sketchy. They start July 12. Founding Artistic Director Robert Bouwman says that to have lasted this long, they’ve needed, “Grit, optimism, and indulging a guilty pleasure: proudly low-brow comedy. An occasional shot of Sambuca helps, too.”

- There’s a nice piece in the Reader about Theater on the Lake, in which Deanna Isaac praises the line-up and scope of this season, but has less positive things to say about the physical space, which she calls “as decrepit as ever.” In the comments section, media columnist Michael Miner writes, “There was one show last summer or the year before where the cast was in full regalia and it was about 100 [degrees] and I told myself, ‘If they can do it I can do it.’ But I couldn’t. We all slipped out at intermission.”
