Chicago’s police union is telling officers that Tuesday will be their last chance to talk to the U.S. Department of Justice before the end of a year-long investigation into the Chicago Police Department.

Dean Angelo, president of Chicago’s police union, invited members of the DOJ to make their fourth visit to the union offices Tuesday. He encouraged members to talk about job-related issues, frustrations or working conditions.

“What I think they need to do is have a sensitive ear to the issues that our members are facing not only on the street but also within the workplace,” Angelo said. “We think that it’s important that our members have a voice … Those officers that drive beat cars everyday are the ones I want to encourage to sit down and share.”

Angelo said the event will give officers the chance to talk with DOJ investigators outside of the workplace.
