Amazon officials are in town this week to scout out several downtown locations that Chicago pitched as contenders for HQ2, the second headquarters the tech giant has pledged to build somewhere outside its home turf of Seattle. Earlier this year, Amazon narrowed the list of finalists to 20 cities, including Chicago. It’s already checked out sites in New York and Washington, DC.
