“The rise of the Black Panther Party was one of the most influential political and social movements of the 20th Century, and Chicago was a pivotal place in the movement’s formation,” said Tregg Duerson, COO of the Rebuild Foundation, which is  hosting the exhibition ICONIC: Black Panther. On Today’s Weekend Passport segment, we are joined by the exhibit’s creator, Rosalind McGary,. She’s an artist, and founder of the SEPIA Collective, a Los Angeles-based organization that engages artists, builds community, and empowers youth. We’ll also hear from Chicago artists, David Anthony Geary and Candace Hunter. Their work is on display at ICONIC: Black Panther. Our global citizen, Nari Safavi, also joins us to give you a couple ideas to help you plan your international weekend!
