WBEZ, WVON Team Up For 3-Hour Special On Gun Violence

WBEZ brings you fact-based news and information. Sign up for our newsletters to stay up to date on the stories that matter.

As another year of unsettling violence draws to a close in Chicago, WBEZ is teaming up with WVON to ask listeners:

How has violence affected you? How is it changing your neighborhood?

Join co-hosts Perri Small of WVON and Tony Sarabia of WBEZ for “The View From My Block,” a three-hour, call-in special about where the city stands now and what needs to change. We’ll also be joined by community leaders, activists and religious leaders. Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson joins the last hour to respond to callers’ ideas for solutions.

“The View From My Block” airs Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon on WBEZ 91.5 FM and WVON 1690.

During that time, call in live at 773-591-1690 or start tweeting your take to #myblock.
