It all began with a question: “What is America’s responsibility to its poor?”. Playwright and ATC Artistic Director PJ Paparelli decided to answer that question by focusing on the history of public housing in Chicago. Paparelli talked to more than 100 people-scholars, historians, current and former residents-over four years, and he’s combined these conversations with music and dance in a documentary play called “The Project(s).”(Flickr/lobstar28)
