Despite the recent terrorist bombings in Paris, there has been some positive news regarding the battle against ISIS. With the aid of U.S. airstrikes, Kurdish Peshmerga troops in Iraq took back the town of Sinjar from ISIS control. In August 2014, ISIS forced thousands of ethnic Yazidis to flee the town and take refuge on Mount Sinjar. But today, there are still hundreds of kidnapped Yazidi women and girls who have yet to come home.
