Before they hit Broadway, many actors and actresses get their start in their high school theater productions. While some of those who grace the stage early choose other careers, some stick with their dreams and make it a profession. Two local actors are getting a jumpstart on following a path to theater. Jonah Rawitz of Buffalo Grove is the recipient of the Jimmy Award for Best Male Performance, and Julia Lindsey Whitcomb of Belvidere, Illinois, was a finalist for Best Female Performance.
