Donald Trump was named Time’s Person of the Year on Wednesday. Since the first Person of the Year distinction in 1927, every United States president has been given the honor except Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover and Gerald Ford. The recognition goes to the person Time thinks has the greatest influence on the events of the year, for better or worse.
Chicagoans had strong reactions to the selection of Trump, and even offered some alternatives.
