In editing the footage for my new documentary, “The New Bleacher Bums,” I came across this nugget of wisdom. It’s not going to make the final edit, but it is definitely full of wisdom. Racism is a serious thing and Colleen Henneman doesn’t like it at all. This little cutting doesn’t just apply to racism, it also applies to discrimination in several forms. They should show this in schools:
Colleen Henneman is a lifelong Cubs fan. She spends most of her days up at Wrigley Field. Oh yeah, she’s also not real. She’s a character played by the fabulous Kate James. She is part of my comedy troupe, Schadenfreude. We are currently producing “The New Bleacher Bums,” following characters who live their life in the shadow of Wrigleyville.
