La 72 Home and Refuge for Migrant Persons (La 72) is a humanitarian shelter for migrants in Tenosique, Tabasco, Mexico, which is 30 miles from the Guatemalan border.

Along with food, shelter and clothing, La 72 provides health care, counseling and case management and received over 15,000 people last year. Guests also receive human rights education, legal and humanitarian assistance for accessing their asylum and residency status. The main goal of La 72 is to “change migration policies in order to guarantee all migrants safe passage in Mexico. “

La 72 is featured in the new documentary, Viacrucis Migrante (Migrant Crossing), which shows men, women, and children fleeing extremely violent conditions in Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.
