Last weekend was the 2018 Taste of Chicago in Grant Park. This year’s festivities included performances from Black Star, The Flaming Lips, and George Clinton along with Parliament-Funkadelic; and obviously some of the best food the city has to offer. This weekend, Chicagoans can also enjoy the second annual Taste of Korea Festival. There will be authentic and fusion Korean cuisine, various Korean merchandise vendors and the festival will also be hosting the international competition “Changwon World K-POP Festival!” This year’s Taste of Korea Festival is happening in the West Lot of Old Orchard Mall in Skokie, IL Saturday July 21-Sunday July 22. This weekend Chicagoans can also go to Kelvyn Park for Colombian Fest (aka El Gran Festival Colombiano) for Colombian cuisine and music from artists like Willie Colon and Alfredo Gutierrez. Colombian Fest is happening Friday July 20-Sunday July 22. Today we are joined by Lucia Lee, the Vice Chairperson of the Taste of Korea Festival. As always, global citizen Nari Safavi also joins us to give you a couple events to help you plan your international weekend!
