President Barack Obama is expected to sign a bill today that’s aimed at preventing opioid addiction. The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act expands prevention and education efforts related to addiction. Part of the Act is known as Lali’s law, after a Buffalo Grove teenager Alex Laliberte, who died from a heroin overdose. The provision expands the availability of naloxone, a drug that can help save someone who is overdosing on opioids.
