Nick Offerman shot to fame for his role as Ron Swanson alongside Saturday Night Live alum Amy Poehler in the TV series “Parks and Rec.” The eclectic Offerman is an actor, writer and master carpenter known for his bushy mustache, his deadpan delivery and his dry sense of humor.

 A native of Minooka, Illinois, Offerman delivered the 2017 commencement address at his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
