Attention all local beer aficionados - the wait is over at Haymarket Pub and Brewrey as they get ready to pour their 12 Founders beers on tap tomorrow at 6 p.m.

Opening its doors in late December, this West Loop brewpub - once the site of the Haymarket Square Riots of 1886 - had only been serving guest brews on tap - but no need to riot, house brews are here at last. Run by former Rock Bottom award-winning brewer Pete Crowley, and his friend, Sausagefest organizer John Neurauter, the pub specializes in classic Belgian and contemporary American beer styles. While you watch the game on one of the TVs in the main bar area, you can drink from 32 tap handles behind the bar, featuring more than 10 house-brewed varieties, and another 50 or so bottles in the coolers. But beer isn’t the only draw.

The rear dining room is also home to the Drinking and Writing Theater, the long-running and popular series by Sean Benjamin and Steve Mosqueda, featuring weekly shows highlighting humorous tales of the bibulous life.

While already capable of seating more than 300, that doesn’t include the proposed summertime beer garden set to open this summer, just in time for a cold one.
