The 57th Chicago Air and Water Show kicks off tomorrow, but if you’re anywhere near the lake from Roger’s Park to Hyde Park, you’ve probably seen, or at least heard, the F-18 Hornets and the L-39 Albatrosses flying up and down the lakefront in preparation for their shows. Some of those supersonic jets belong to the US Navy Blue Angels and for the first time this year, a team of jet pilots from France is joining the party. They’re the Breitling Jet Team, the largest civilian pilot team that performs in jets in the world. Just like our pilots from the Navy, they’re known for flying in precision formations, pulling off all kinds of unbelievably tricky maneuvers in the process. We’re joined by Patrick Marchand, who flies in the outside-left position of the Breitling team. (Flickr/Airwolfhound)
