According to the UNHCR, more than half a million Syrians have fled the civil war in Syria for neighboring Jordan and Lebanon. Situated in refugee camps or mixed among local communities, they face daily crises such as water scarcity and inadequate access to medical services. The Zaatari camp, located close to the Syria-Jordan border, houses 120,000 refugees—half of whom are children. Ray Offenheiser, president and CEO of Oxfam America, is back from a visit to the Zaatari camp and other refugee communities in Jordan and Lebanon. He'll update us about conditions inside both countries and tell us what he thinks needs to be done to address the growing humanitarian crisis. (Photo: AP Images).
