Donald Trump canceled his appearance at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago Friday night.

The Republican presidential candidate’s campaign said the decision was made out of safety concerns, although a Chicago Police Department spokesman says the Trump campaign did not contact the CPD.

Demonstrators took over an entire section of the arena before Trump ever took the stage. WBEZ’s Michael Puente and Tony Arnold talked with host Greta Johnsen on Saturday about what they saw inside — and outside — the arena.
