Last month, WBEZ’s Curious City explored the origin and history of Chicago’s Boystown neighborhood, Chicago’s gay district and the center of the city’s gay pride parades that took place this past weekend.

Part of that research included sitting down with a number of gay Chicago activists for a conversation on Boystown over the years, as well as what it’s like to be gay today.
