It may be July, but winter has come to Westeros.

This Sunday, HBO premieres season 7 of Game of Thrones, and fans are ready to join the Starks, the Lannisters, the White Walkers and a trio of dragons in the final battle for the Iron Throne. By the end of season 6, fans said goodbye to some fan favorites (Hodor!) as well as some villains (Ramsey).

Game of Thrones superfans Peter Sagal of Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me! and Tricia Bobeda of the Nerdette podcast join the Morning Shift to review where we left off and predict where season 7 will take us. (Peter and Tricia also co-host the WBEZ podcast Nerdette Recaps Game Of Thrones with Peter Sagal). Then we discuss the recent Emmy nominations.
