Washington, Illinois, near Peoria, is considering arming administrators at the district’s schools in response to the Sandy hook tragedy. There is precedent for the measure; a district in rural Colorado recently passed a measure that would allow the superintendent and principal toy guns. The Harrold Independent School District in Texas also allows teachers and administrators to carry guns.
