Washington, Illinois, near Peoria, is considering arming administrators at the district’s schools in response to the Sandy hook tragedy. There is precedent for the measure; a district in rural Colorado recently passed a measure that would allow the superintendent and principal toy guns. The Harrold Independent School District in Texas also allows teachers and administrators to carry guns. We talk with Harrold Independent School District Superintendent David Thweatt about how it works.
