Nations from around the globe — 195 nations in fact — approved a landmark climate pact over the weekend where they agreed to curb greenhouse gas emissions and slow the rate of climate change. It’s been hailed as a historic moment, a breakthrough where both industrialized nations and developing ones have pledged to take concrete steps to stop the planet from warming. President Obama called the accord “a powerful signal that the world is fully committed to a low-carbon future.” But he acknowledged that there’s still a lot more work to do.
