Alderman Andre Vasquez Censured By Chicago Democratic Socialists

The Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America condemned Ald. Vasquez for voting “yes” on Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s 2021 budget.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s 2021 budget narrowly passed through Chicago’s City Council Tuesday. After voting in favor of the budget, progressive Ald. Andre Vasquez (40th) was censured by the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America.
