Electrified, youthful and now; those are some of the words Mike Merenda and Ruthy Ungar use to describe The Mike & Ruthy Band. Their brand of Americana music — with its traditional instruments of banjo and fiddle mixed with a rock rhythm section — was hailed by none other than the late folk legend Pete Seeger. The husband and wife songwriting team have been touring the country playing songs from the latest release, “Bright As You Can.” They join us to first bring the sounds of their latest album.
