According to the Morton Arboretum, Cook and surrounding counties are home to 150 million trees. But one out of every five street trees in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs will likely soon fall victim to the Emerald Ash Borer. Arbor day is Friday, April 24, and the Arboretum is holding events in Lisle and in Millennium Park to raise awareness of the importance of trees.
