The law in the City of Wheaton prohibits keeping livestock in the city for more than 90 days per year.
The Wheaton City Council has declined to change a local code that would have allowed five hens being kept in a backyard by one Fantozzi family. The family says they asked the City Council to reconsider but in the meantime, they’ll find new homes for the hens.
