Musician Ben Harper hasn’t stopped writing, recording or touring for more than 20 years. But he took a break from his original band The Innocent Criminals almost a decade ago to get himself out of his comfort zone and stretch himself as an artist. 

Last summer he reunited the band, and they’re touring the world together in support of the new album ‘Call It What It Is.’ The record is classic Ben Harper, drawing on rock, soul, blues, folk and global sounds. Harper joins us for music and conversation.
