Bill To Consolidate Illinois Fire, Police Pensions Awaits Action In Springfield

When legislators return to Springfield for the remainder of the fall veto session on Nov. 12, they are expected to take up Senate Bill 616, which would consolidate 649 downstate fire and police pension funds into two separate funds as a cost-saving measure.
