Before Tunisia’s National Dialogue Quartet was awarded this year’s Nobel Peace prize, Pope Francis was reportedly a top contender. Also this week, bishops are gathered at the Vatican for a global church meeting on the family. The Pope convened the meeting to look at how the Church can support modern families within Catholic Church traditions. We get a Pope update from John Thavis, author of, most recently, “The Vatican Prophecies Investigating Supernatural Signs, Apparitions, and Miracles in the Modern Age.” He discusses the Pope’s Nobel nomination, this week’s Synod and this Pope’s methods for determining Sainthood.
