She was born in Brazil, raised in France and tutored by a legendary American musician in Argentina. Despite the globe-hopping, 24-year-old Dom La Nena has her feet firmly planted on the ground. The classically trained cellist/singer/songwriter made a huge splash with her 2013 debut Ela, and has since put out an EP and an album of remixes. She brings her sweet, melancholy sounds to the Old Town School of Folk Music Thursday.
