Theresa May has surprised many by calling for early elections in June. May came to power after the Brexit vote and she has, until now, ruled out the idea of early elections. But now she says she needs a mandate in order to move forward on her plan take to the UK out of the EU. We’ll talk about the move and how it could play out with Erin Delaney, a professor of law and political science at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on Britain.
