Canadian environmentalists have said they may be subject to increased government surveillance and harassment. This, after Greenpeace Canada secured a copy of a security assessment by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) declaring the “anti-petroleum” movement a “growing and violent threat to Canada’s security.” We’ll talk with Greenpeace Canada spokesperson, Keith Stewart, about the report’s findings and what he thinks are the implications for Canada’s environmental movement.
