Yesterday I held a caption contest and now I will actually follow through with choosing a winner. Congratulations to Bridget K whose caption, “The restaurant critic went to great lengths not to draw attention to himself” really tickled my funnybone. She and a guest will be attending Taste of the Nation on Wednesday evening at Navy Pier. To refresh your memory, Taste of the Nation is an evening with some of Chicago’s best chefs cooking food for you. It’s all to benefit Share Our Strength, which is a group that takes on childhood hunger. They’ve raised (nearly) $3 million for the cause since 1988.
