Derrick Milligan wants to give seniors a chance to excel at sports. It’s a chance many of them — due to racial and gender barriers when they were in school — didn’t have. Now, through Milligan’s Chicago-based organization Team Dream, they do. He teaches seniors to play cycling, swimming, triathlon and sports like tennis. Essentially, he’s getting them ready for the Olympics. Through sports, Milligan’s team is overcoming ageism they face in their older years… and racial injustice they experienced in their youth.

Reset talks with Coach Milligan and one of his senior triathletes about what Team Dream is all about.
