Chicago Innovators: Songfinch wants to build a ‘music creator economy’ one personalized song at a time

“We want people to completely understand the power and the effect of music,” said Songfinch CEO John Williamson.

Songfinch is trying to open up a new revenue stream for independent musicians through customized songs and to help them expand their fan base. The Chicago-based startup has paid more than $2.1 million directly to artists this year alone.
